Birthplace of international hero, Dr. Norman Bethune, who was a medical pioneer, advocate for Canada’s universal health care & revered Chinese cultural icon. The Victorian-era home & Visitor Ctr describe his impact on the bond between Canada & China even until today.

Admission to Canada's National Parks, National Marine Conservation Areas and National Historic Sites is FREE in 2017.

Come to see our new visitors centre, inaugurated on July 11, 2012, which is the new home of inspiring exhibits which allow visitors from around the world to examine Dr. Norman Bethune's legacy.

Take a private guided tour with traditional Chinese tea and learn about Bethune's inventions, his contribution to the fight against tuberculosis and more!
