Billy Bishop Home & Museum, Archives & National Historic Site

Description

Discover the Home...... Discover the Hero!

Welcome to the home of the Bishop Family and the boyhood home of Billy Bishop
Visit this beautiful Victorian home and Museum in the heart of Owen Sound, Ontario. Billy Bishop Home & Museum was built in 1884 and showcases the Bishop family history. It is also the boyhood home of William Avery “Billy” Bishop, the charismatic hero of the Great War. An adventurous, mischievous, and restless spirit, Billy was driven to be the best in all he did. Take a step back in time to explore the lives of the Bishop Family, and discover the story of one of our Canadian Icons. The museum also serves to remember the contributions of the many service men and women from our community, and throughout the region, to always remember our Veteran’s and those currently serving.
