Cast a line at the Shimano catch-and-release Fish Pond. FREE fishing instruction every Friday in July & August in our pond which is stocked with Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, and some BIG Bass!! For more information on free fishing opportunities at the HFHC and throughout Ontario, visit Tackleshare.

See fish up close in our giant 9000L Shimano Aquarium, home to 7 fish species native to the Otonabee River watershed. Or get up close and personal with one of Ontario’s most important contributors to vermin control, the Eastern garter snakes. Weekday fish feeding at 1:45, and snake feedings Fridays at 3pm.

Sharpshooter or first timer? Try your aim at Archery & Airgun ranges. Our experienced & qualified staff provide all safety & instruction so you can get a taste of these important heritage skills. Take your airgun target home and show off to friends! Only $10 per participant (includes general admission).
