The Toronto Black Film Festival is one of Canada’s premier festivals for black films.
Returning for its sixth edition during Black History Month, the Toronto Black Film Festival welcomes filmmakers, actors and audiences to Toronto for the 6-day event that includes special events, workshops and panel discussions.
The vision is about cool, international, independent, politically incorrect and eye-opening films. Furthermore, the Toronto Black Film Festival (TBFF) is about discovery. TBFF showcases the most outstanding and most powerful Black films while creating a space to debate major cultural, social and socio-economic issues.
It is dedicated to giving unique voices in cinema the opportunity to present audiences with new ways of looking at the world.
In Celebration of BLACK HISTORY MONTH...
“Greater knowledge leads to greater understanding”. TBFF is glad to celebrate the Diversity within the black communities through films that really matter by entertaining and inviting audiences to see the world from another person’s perspective. Coming together through art allows members of all cultural communities to better understand one another.
