Have a Blast at an Ontario Amusement or Water Park

August is the time to pack your weekends full of excitement, and we’ve got a great idea: grab a water bottle, sunscreen and a bathing suit, and head off to an awesome amusement park! Whether you’re into death-defying roller coasters, calm kiddie pools, or even an old carousel, you’ll find a park in Ontario that’s just perfect for you.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

Santa’s Village & Sportsland (Central Ontario)

Calypso (Ottawa Region)

Though the name might trigger thoughts of Christmas, this amusement park is fantastic all year long. Check out the go-karts, rides, and laser tag—and camp out overnight, too!

This park has incredible high-speed water slides that will definitely cool you down this month. Also, be sure to grab some friends and try the 4-person toboggan boats.

Canada's Wonderland (GTA)

Wasaga Water World (Central Ontario)

This Toronto mainstay has more rides and entertainment than you could imagine. Make sure to try the Mighty Canadian Minebuster for its old-school wooden feel, or the Behemoth—Canada’s tallest, fastest roller coaster.

With 2 locations, and plenty of options, this water park is a must-visit. Tackle the serpent slides, or the amazing wave pool—and when you need to dry off, play a round of mini-golf.

Roaring Rivers WaterPark (Eastern Ontario)
Located inside Logos Land Resort, this water park has everything you need for a great summer weekend: slides, kiddie pools, and access to the beach.

Amusement and water parks are always a blast, and with options like these, you’re sure to have an incredible time. For more ideas, visit our Amusement Parks, Water Parks, Mini Golf & More page.
