As the first official day of summer is just around the corner, Ontario gets hopping with lots of events and festivals.  Whether you are into Gourmet food tastings or the hottest music around, Ontario has something for everyone.








Want to treat Dad to something really special this Father’s Day? Why not take in a live act at the Streetfest, chow down on some Festival foods or get in the swing of things with the Marching Band Parade? Dad and the whole family are sure to enjoy! June 14 - 17

Feeling a little edgier?  Check out some “oh so courant” films, take in a local band or just party it up at North by Northeast. With 650 Bands & 40 Films over 7 days, you can’t complain about nothing to do! June 11 - 17




Is bluegrass more your style?  Bring your camp chair or park your RV and tap your toes to some down-home music.  With 8 live bands, local baked goods, fresh-from-the-farm strawberries and lots of shopping, the whole family is sure to find something that pleases. June 15 – 17

Ottawa is heating up (and cooling down) the parks this summer. Get jazzed at this world renowned jazz fest! From Steve Martin to Janelle Monae and Daryl Hall, you’ll be gettin’ in the groove in no time! June 21 – July 1

Fort Erie 1812 Grande Parade & Tattoo
Did you know that this year is the Bicentennial of the War of 1812? There are events all over the province, from re-enactments to military parades, to special exhibits. Check the official 1812 website http://www.visit1812.com for loads of events but here’s a cool one to get you started:  The Fort Erie 1812 Grande Parade includes over 50 military units, bands from Canada, the US & Britain, floats & reenactors. The grand finale features a Military Tattoo and fireworks at Old Fort Erie.

Nik Wallenda Walks Across Niagara Falls Table Rock Ontario will be the only place in Canada to see Nik Wallenda walk across Niagara Falls in the first tightrope walk attempt over the actual waterfall since 1859.  Nik will start on Goat Island in the United States and finish near Table Rock on the Canadian side. June 15, 2012.
