Fast Fun with Dragon Boats
What originated in China over 2,000 years ago is now taking Ontario by storm. Dragon boats are human-powered racing longboats, and the races will appeal to every kind of sports fan. You can get a team together to compete, or plan to attend as a spectator, but make sure you get involved in a dragon boat festival this summer!
Here are a few festivals around Ontario:
Great White North Dragon Boat Challenge (GTA)
North Bay Dragon Boat Festival (Northern Ontario)
Racing, corporate team-building exercises, and training camps.
Racing and games for the whole family.
Welland Dragon Boat Festival (Niagara)
Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival (Ottawa & Surrounding)
Niagara Region’s fastest-growing water sport.
Over 5,000 paddlers competing for glory!
Dragon boat racing is a time-honoured tradition with a cool new life in Ontario. Get on board, and enjoy! For more info on Dragon Boat festivals go to the SFG Event Calendar and search for “Dragon Boat"
