What are YOU going to do this weekend?            May 31, 2012
Enjoy the bounty of local produce!

Now is the time to start enjoying the fruits of local farmers’ labours. Remember the smell of a sun-warmed strawberry, the crisp tang of the first rhubarb of the season? Check out some of Ontario’s local farms and markets to enjoy the freshest the season has to offer.

For berry lovers only! This website is berry, berry helpful for finding info on Ontario Strawberries, Raspberries, Gooseberries, Blueberries, Currants & other berry crops.  It also provides up-to-date information on Pick Your Own, Recipes, Handling & Nutrition.

Even the name sounds fun!  Let the kids enjoy the fresh country air in the ‘Kids Patch’, pick your own or buy fresh picked.  If the heat starts to get to you, enjoy a fresh berry shake or country-fresh ice cream cone.

Feel like getting back to nature?  Why not Pick Your Own strawberries, blueberries and raspberries?  Make a family outing of it, and settle into a farm fresh picnic when you’ve picked your fill.

Bring the gang to this family run farm for fresh berries and produce or try some of their made-from-scratch jams and jellies. Treat your tastebuds at their bakery with Marlene's Famous Butter Tarts, delicious Gluten Free items & NSA (no sugar added) products too.

Ever eaten cherries picked right off the tree? The warmest spring weather on record means cherry season is coming early this year! So grab a basket, hop on the tractor and pick to your heart’s content.

Whatever type of berry you are looking for, why not get back to the earth and visit some of Ontario’s fabulous U-Pick farms.
