What could be better on a hot summer day than cooling off at one of the many waterparks and waterfalls all over Ontario?  It’s the “coolest” place to be!!

Looking for an exciting, fun-filled, water-logged adventure?  Calypso Theme Water Park boasts 35 waterslides, 100 water games, and Canada’s largest wave pool.  It is also home to the highest free standing waterslide tower in North America and to “Jungle Run,” a 750 m long wild and twisted river adventure.

Rainbow Falls is a beautiful destination for lovers of the outdoors.  The falls are named for the rainbows that often appear as the water cascades down the rocky steps from Whitesand Lake to Whitesand River.  There are beautiful hikes that offer breathtaking views of the falls and surrounding areas.  The park is also known for boating, fishing and swimming at the sandy beaches.

The Roaring Rivers Waterpark is truly a family destination with something for everyone!  There are water slides for the big and little kids in your family, a zipline course, wading pools, water trampolines, kayaks, canoes, surf bikes and pontoons to rent as well as fishing and swimming for overnight guests.

Explore Ball’s Falls by bike or by hike, but whatever you do, you should come for a visit!  Designated a world biosphere reserve, the natural beauty and wildlife of the area is out of this world as are the views of the Niagara Escarpment. History buffs will enjoy the tours of the heritage buildings that are from one of the earliest industrial settlements in Niagara.

For the true daredevils, the summer wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Wild Water Kingdom.  Each water-themed ride is crazier than the last!  Take a turn on rides with names like “Cyclone,” “Devil’s Drop” and “White Lightning.” There are also milder rides for those looking to relax on the “Lazy River” or want to lounge by the Caribbean Cove.

The Inglis Falls Conservation Area offers another stunning example of Ontario natural beauty at its best.  This 18 m high cascading waterfall is one of the most visited in the area.  The Falls offer a viewing area, hiking trails, Bruce Trail access and plenty of flora and fauna to admire!
