Boat Cruises in Central Ontario
Travel Travel Travel Travel Travel Travel Travel
In Central Ontario, there are lots of places to cruise. Midland & Penetang Tours offers tours of Georgian Bay, Kempenfelt Bay & the Trent Severn River. Casino Rama Tour packages are also available. Orillia Boat Cruises offers a variety of public cruises on Lake Couchiching or book a private group. Step back in time and take a cruise on a historic boat such as the RMS Segwun (built in 1887) or the newly refurbished 1910 SS Bigwin Steamship. The Segwun cruises on the Muskoka lakes while the SS Bigwin rides the Lake of Bays; choose from a public, or private cruise or one of the Bigwin’s experiential cruises, like a morning yoga boat cruise or Father’s Day beer tasting cruise.
A visit to Point Pelee National Park will take you to mainland Canada’s southernmost point. It’s a beautiful oasis known for its incredible birdwatching & water adventures. More than half of the park is made up of freshwater marshes, so it’s a great idea to explore the area by boat. Rent a canoe or kayak & take a relaxing paddle through the marshes or join a 10 person guided Freighter Canoe Tour.

Ontario’s Bermuda Triangle
Ontario has its own “Bermuda Triangle”! The area between Point Petre in Prince Edward County and the Main Duck Islands has been called “The Marysburgh Vortex” and the “graveyard of Lake Ontario” because during the schooner era and the early days of steamship travel, 2/3 of the shipwrecks in Lake Ontario occurred in this area. Strangely enough, it is also an area of numerous UFO sightings.
