Warmer Weather is Around the Corner

By Sarah Tuesday, April 3, 2012

Have you ever imagined what it would be like to be a great adventurer or explorer? I bet you watched Indiana Jones and thought, “I could do that!”  Now you have the chance to let your inner explorer out at Scenic Caves Nature Adventures.

The weather is getting warmer and that means Summer Activities at Scenic Caves are starting soon.  Between May and October you can enjoy can enjoy all of the great adventures Scenic Caves has to offer.

You can start feeding your adventurous side by going deep into Blue Mountain and exploring the underground labyrinth filled with paths to the mysterious underworld.  See if you are brave enough to venture down into the Ice Cave – a crevasse so deep that snow and ice can be found there into the early summer months.  While you are in the caves you can see the natural hidden fortress that the Petun people used for shelter from their enemies.

Exploring caves and going underground aren’t the only things for a great explorer like you to do at Scenic Caves Nature Adventures.  You can also test your height threshold by risking everything to look over the edge of a 300-meter high limestone cliff or walk across Ontario’s longest suspension bridge at the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment! Both of these adventures give you amazing views of the Georgian Bay from daring heights.

The cave exploration and suspension bridge are only the beginning of what you can do at Scenic Caves Nature Adventures.  There is also gemstone mining, mini golf, and a trout pond and picnic area for the family to enjoy.
