Kayaks can be designed for beginners or experts; slow and easy touring on calm water, to racing on whitewater, to fishing &amp; long-distance ocean paddling and hold 1-3 people. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.1000islandskayaking.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">1000 Islands Kayaking<\/a> (Gananoque) offers Half\/full day kayaking tours of 1000 Islands National Park.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.TorontoAdventures.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Toronto Adventures<\/a> offers Kayaking, Canoeing, &amp; Paddleboarding adventures around Toronto.<\/p>\n<h3>Canoes<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1328\" src=\"\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/article2_july132017.jpg\" alt=\"Canoeing in Ontario\" width=\"257\" height=\"141\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Canoes are definitely the best way to cover distances as they are large enough to transport everything from tents to food and usually carry 2-3 people, although Voyageur canoes are much larger. Algonquin Park <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildernessadventures.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Canoe Adventures<\/a> does 3 and 6 day Algonquin trips, all inclusive.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canoetoronto.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Canoe Toronto<\/a> offers guided 20-seat Voyageur War Canoe trips to Toronto Islands. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paddletoronto.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Harbourfront Canoe &amp; Kayak Centre<\/a> in Toronto offers Guided Tours in Tandem Kayaks or Big Voyageur Canoes in the Toronto Islands &amp; lessons too. And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canoeingthegrand.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Canoeing the Grand<\/a> has Canoe, Kayak, tubes and New Family nite Tuesdays!<\/p>\n<h3>SUP<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1329 size-full\" src=\"\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/article3_july132017.jpg\" alt=\"Stand Up Paddleboards in Ontario\" width=\"257\" height=\"141\" \/><\/p>\n<p>SUP stands for Stand Up Paddleboards and they are basically standup surfboards that you paddle. They build balance and core strength, but can be used by anyone, any age. Many places that have canoes and kayaks also offer SUP rentals. There are even SUP yoga classes! <a href=\"http:\/\/www.niagararowingschool.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Niagara Rowing School<\/a> has canoe, kayak, SUP rentals &amp; rowing lessons. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livoutside.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">LivOutside<\/a>. Gear + Adventures in Bracebridge also has Canoe, Kayak &amp; Paddleboard Rentals, as does <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitesquall.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">White Squall Paddling Centre<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/supnorth.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">SUPnorth Paddle Board Adventures<\/a> in Haliburton, Muskoka &amp; Kawarthas also has a Mermaid Lagoon with \u201cSUP &amp; Swim\u201d (with your mermaid tail)!<\/p>\n<h3>Rafting<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1330 size-full\" src=\"\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/article4_july132017.jpg\" alt=\"Rafting in Ontario\" width=\"257\" height=\"141\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Want a little (or a lot of) adrenaline with your paddle? Then rafting is for you! Great for groups or families, these guided trips can be easy or exciting! <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildernesstours.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Wilderness Tours Rafting &amp; Kayaking Resort<\/a> not only has trips and camps, but also is Canada\u2019s top adventure resort. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.riverrunrafting.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">RiverRun Rafting<\/a> has high-Adventure, Family Rafting or Tubing &amp; also has a 165-acre resort. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.owlrafting.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Madawaska River Family Rafting<\/a> has a great 2-hour Family Raft Trip on the Madawaska River, among other trips. Many of these companies offer trips for age 5+ and all provide safety equipment, instruction and guides.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you like a slower, more relaxing, ride on the water or a bit of an adrenaline rush,\u00a0 the water fun options in Ontario are endless.
