No matter where you live or visit in Ontario, you&#8217;re never very far away from an opportunity to swim, paddle, beach, or boat. One of the fun things to do in Ontario waters is raft. Because Ontario has some fast-flowing waterways, we can do everything from white-knuckle pro level white water rafting to family-friendly rafting to riding down a river on a tube. You can find some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/outdoor-adventures.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">options<\/a> on Summer Fun Guide as well as some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/parks-trails-beaches-gardens.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">beaches<\/a> to hang out at before and after or experience\u00a0 one of the places below.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1432\" src=\"\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FB2016-white-water-rafting-300x236.png\" alt=\"white water rafting\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FB2016-white-water-rafting-300x236.png 300w, https:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FB2016-white-water-rafting.png 872w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>1. <a href=\"http:\/\/owl-mkc.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">OWL Rafting<\/a> on the Ottawa River (Foresters Falls) has 1&amp;2 Day Adventure &amp; Family Rafting Trips.<\/p>\n<p>2. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildernesstours.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Wilderness Tours Rafting<\/a> &amp; Kayaking Resort (Foresters Falls) may have wild rafting, but it also offers family rafting (ages 5+) and a great adventure resort, making it an all-around holiday destination.<\/p>\n<p>3. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.riverrunrafting.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">RiverRun Rafting<\/a>, just one hr west of Ottawa, does have high-adventure rafting, but it also offers Family Rafting &amp; Tubing. It, too, has accommodations at its 165-acre resort next to the Ottawa River Provincial Park.<\/p>\n<p>4. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grandriverrafting.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Grand River Rafting<\/a> Company in Paris, Ontario offers a full range of water activities, including rafting, kayaking, canoeing, SUP, and tubing.<\/p>\n<p>5. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.owlrafting.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Madawaska River Family Rafting&#8217;<\/a>s specialty is its two-hour Family Rafting Trip on 5 gorgeous kilometers of the Madawaska River in the Algonquin Park area.<\/p>\n<p>6. <a href=\"http:\/\/whitewater.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Esprit Whitewater Adventures<\/a> is just over the provincial border in Davidson, Que but it is still on the Ottawa River and offers trips down BOTH channels of the River in one day. You can even hook tubes together for a \u201cgroup experience\u201d &amp; drag a cooler tube for a floating family picnic!<\/p>\n<p>8. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.railyardwakepark.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Rail Yard Wake Park <\/a>is a cool opportunity for both those with experience and newbies to learn or perfect their boarding skills on a private, calm lake in Mount Albert. Try Cable Wakeboarding, Wakeskating, Kneeboarding or they haveTubing too!<\/p>\n<p>Summer is short in Ontario, so we need to take advantage of the weather when it is nice out.
