Many of these sell out early, so if you are interested, check soon. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunfest.on.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">TD Sunfest<\/a> &#8211; July 5-8, in London, features 35+ top world music &amp; jazz headliners &amp; it is FREE! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kemptvillelivemusicfestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Kemptville Live Music Festival<\/a> &#8211; July 18-22\u00a0in the Ottawa Region offers 4 days of live music, camping &amp; food trucks. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.festivalofthesound.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Festival Of The Sound<\/a> &#8211; July 20-Aug 11 is in Parry Sound &amp; is Canada&#8217;s finest Jazz &amp; Classical Summer Music Festival. <a href=\"http:\/\/havelockjamboree.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Havelock Country Jamboree<\/a> &#8211; Aug 16-19 (Central ON) is Canada&#8217;s Largest Live Outdoor Country Music &amp; Camping Fest! <a href=\"http:\/\/www.southsideshuffle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues &amp; Jazz Festival<\/a> &#8211; Sept 7-9, 2018 calls itself Mississauga\u2019s musical Mardi Gras &amp; has a huge street party Saturday with fans literally dancing in the streets. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tweedelvisfestival.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Tweed Elvis Festival<\/a> &#8211; Aug 24-28, 2018 is one of Ontario\u2019s top 100 festivals &amp; showcases Elvis in the movies!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1589\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/article2_april32018.jpg\" alt=\"Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition\" width=\"257\" height=\"141\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Cultural Festivals\u00a0in Ontario<\/h2>\n<p>This category covers a lot of territory \u2013 we\u2019ve included multi-cultural options, theatre, dance &amp; visual art \u2013 some of the best Ontario has to offer. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artfestontario.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Artfest Ontario<\/a> has 4 FREE outdoor arts &amp; craft festivals in historic settings in Kingston, Toronto, Port Credit. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huntsvillefestival.on.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Huntsville Festival of the Arts<\/a> &#8211; July 2-Aug 22, 2017 offers a cool mix of musical, theatrical, dance &amp; visual arts performances &amp; exhibitions year round, but has a lot of its biggest stuff during July\/August.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bellevillewaterfrontfestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Belleville Waterfront &amp; Multicultural Festival<\/a> \u2013 July 10-15, has a Midway, Ethnic Food Village, Dragon Boat Races, Concerts &amp; more. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontooutdoorart.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition<\/a>\u00a0 &#8211; July 6 \u2013 8 is Canada&#8217;s largest FREE outdoor art fair showcasing 300+ contemporary artists. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madawaskastudiotour.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Madawaska Valley Studio Tours<\/a> &#8211; July 21-22, Sept 29-30, offers summer and fall Studio tours where you can observe local artists at work. <a href=\"https:\/\/m.facebook.com\/ramapowwow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Chippewas of Rama First Nation Annual Pow Wow<\/a> &#8211; Aug 24-26 in Rama features some of Turtle Island\u2019s best powwow singers &amp; dancers + food, arts &amp; crafts. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trentonscottishirish.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Trenton Scottish Irish Festival<\/a>, Sept 8, celebrates Quinte\u2019s Celtic ancestry with traditional fare, music &amp; events.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1588\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/article3_april32018.jpg\" alt=\"Food Festivals Toronto\" width=\"257\" height=\"141\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Food Festivals in Ontario<\/h2>\n<p>What could be bad about a festival whose sole purpose is to feed you!? Visiting a food festival is a great way to sample new foods &amp; learn about different cuisines. A perfect example is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jerkfestival.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Jerkfest<\/a> &#8211; Grace Jerk Food Festival &#8211; Aug 10-12 in Etobicoke where you can try to identify the spices that give Jerk its mysterious flavours &amp; captivating aromas. Or <a href=\"http:\/\/vegfoodfest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Veg Food Fest<\/a> &#8211; Sept 7-9 in Toronto which is the largest event of its kind in North America, and whose goal is to change your mouth\u2019s mind about vegetarian\/vegan food.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.taste-of-asia.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Taste of Asia Festival<\/a> \u2013 (GTA) JUN 23 \u2013 24 is Canada\u2019s largest Asian Festival with Asian street foods, culinary artists, entertainment and Free Admission!\u00a0 And you can\u2019t leave out wine &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.niagarawinefestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Niagara Grape and Wine Festivals<\/a> has 3 festivals showcasing &gt;100 wines, events &amp; tours: June 16-24. Sept 14-29 and their famous Icewine Festival Jan 11-27, 2019. <a href=\"http:\/\/festivaldelacurd.ca\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Festival de la Curd\/Curd Festival<\/a> &#8211; Aug 15-19 in St-Albert celebrates locally-made curd; visit the St-Albert cheese factory, and taste tons of free curds!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1587\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/article4_april32018.jpg\" alt=\"fun festivals Ontario\" width=\"257\" height=\"141\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Just Plain Fun in Ontario<\/h2>\n<p>Just because a festival doesn\u2019t fit into one of the above categories doesn\u2019t mean it isn\u2019t worth a visit. There are so many great festivals around the province this summer that are just plain fun! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breadandhoneyfestival.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Bread &amp; Honey Festival<\/a> &#8211; June 1-3, in Streetsville\u00a0 has festivities, shows, carnival &amp; of course, FREE Bread &amp; Honey. <a href=\"http:\/\/dunnvillemudcatfestival.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Dunnville Mudcat Festival<\/a>, June 7-10 has a Midway, Parade, Fireworks &amp; a Strongman\/Strongwoman Competition. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mountforestfireworks.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Mount Forest Fireworks Festival<\/a> &#8211; the 3rd weekend in July &#8211; is a 3 day Fireworks Festival with 500 classic cars, amusements, &amp; a spectacular Fireworks Finale! And the Grand Dame of just plain fun would have to be the <a href=\"https:\/\/theex.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Canadian National Exhibition<\/a> (CNE) &#8211; Aug 17-Sept 3, Toronto. One of North America\u2019s largest fairs (1.5 million visitors), it has every kind of fun including a midway, crazy food, Kids&#8217; World &amp; a 3-day Air Show. You have to experience it at least once!<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re fortunate to live in a province with so many great festivals happening all summer long!
