{"id":338,"date":"2013-04-10T16:11:32","date_gmt":"2013-04-10T16:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/?p=338"},"modified":"2021-09-25T06:59:29","modified_gmt":"2021-09-25T06:59:29","slug":"family-time-at-the-royal-ontario-museum-rom-in-toronto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/family-time-at-the-royal-ontario-museum-rom-in-toronto\/","title":{"rendered":"Family Time at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"b12171e95ca29a06569361a76d0dc3e3\" data-index=\"1\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6144103376590397\" async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>ROM<\/p>\n<p>This past Saturday the kids were bursting with energy.\u00a0 The skies were gray, the weather was cold, but we had to get them out of the house.\u00a0 We needed a kid friendly outing suitable for a 10, 8 and 6 year old.\u00a0 It had to be fun and indoor and give them space to run around.\u00a0 Perfect idea \u2013 the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rom.on.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">ROM<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>The ROM promised to have something for all of us \u2013 an opportunity to go to downtown Toronto (always a treat!), appealing to all ages, educational and lots of hands-on activities. Could the ROM pass the test?<\/p>\n<p>It did and more!\u00a0 The kids got busy digging for dinosaur bones, dressing up in period costumes, watching honey-bees at work and building ecosystem backyards.\u00a0 When they tired of that they walked (actually, ran) through the bat caves, played hide and seek and then had a quick rest in a teepee.
