You (and your kids) can get close enough to touch many of the animals. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www1.toronto.ca\/wps\/portal\/contentonly?vgnextoid=a4f8dada600f0410VgnVCM10000071d60f89RCRD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Riverdale Farm<\/a> is a (not so hidden) Toronto gem located in the midst of urban Cabbagetown.\u00a0 This is a great place, in the heart of the city, to learn how a farm works &amp; to interact with some domestic animals.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Screen-shot-2014-07-21-at-2.13.27-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-667\" src=\"\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Screen-shot-2014-07-21-at-2.13.27-PM.png\" alt=\"Screen shot 2014-07-21 at 2.13.27 PM\" width=\"246\" height=\"167\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div>Valleyview Little Animal Farm (Ottawa)<a href=\"http:\/\/www.northofsuperiorclimbing.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vvlittleanimalfarm.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Valleyview Farm<\/a> has loads of activities for the whole family.\u00a0 There are puppet shows, train rides, an Old Farm Museum &amp; a creative play area to keep kids engaged. They welcome guests with open arms (&amp; hoofs!) &amp; educate visitors about these amazing animals.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salemalpacas.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Salem Alpacas Farm<\/a> is home to over 30 alpacas whose fleece is used to produce beautiful duvets &amp; other products.\u00a0 You can visit the farm, meet the animals &amp; learn all about them as well as purchase some of the soft, hand-made products.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Now that summer is finally here, an excursion to the countryside is definitely in order.\u00a0 A visit to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/animals-zoos.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">zoo<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/farms-pyo-markets.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">farm<\/a> is always a great way to explore nature &amp; learn about wildlife.
