It\u2019s an exhilarating way to cool off on a hot day and wow &#8211; what a rush!\u00a0 Here are some tried &amp; true waterparks throughout Ontario.\u00a0 In Southwestern Ontario, there\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bingemans.com\/bigsplash\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Bingeman\u2019s<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brantford.ca\/residents\/leisurerecreation\/communityfacilities\/earl_haig\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Earl Haig Family Fun Park<\/a>. Both also have great options for \u201cnon-water\u201d fun in the sun too. In the GTA, you can get wet at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildwaterkingdom.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Wild Water Kingdom<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadaswonderland.com\/things-to-do\/splash-works\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Canada\u2019s Wonderland Splash Works<\/a> or the indoor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.RichmondHill.ca\/WavePool\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Wave Pool<\/a> in Richmond Hill. If you venture over the border at Niagara Falls, spend the day at the famous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darienlake.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Darien Lake<\/a> (1 hour from the Falls). Central Ontario has the well known <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wasagabeach.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Wasaga Beach<\/a> \u2013 did you know that this is the world\u2019s longest freshwater beach? In Southwestern Ontario, another well known destination, <a href=\"http:\/\/saublebeach.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Sauble Beach<\/a>, is famous for its Sandcastle Contest, among other things. This region is also home to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bayham.on.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Municipality of Bayham<\/a> with its stunning beaches &amp; so much more. In the <a href=\"http:\/\/www1.toronto.ca\/wps\/portal\/contentonly?vgnextoid=29c1dada600f0410VgnVCM10000071d60f89RCRD&amp;vgnextchannel=d969dada600f0410VgnVCM10000071d60f89RCRD&amp;appInstanceName=default&amp;vgnextrefresh=1#gibraltar_point\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">GTA<\/a>, Toronto has some well-travelled beaches in addition to some hidden gems. Check this site for a list of the GTA\u2019s blue flag beaches, amenities and locations. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northeasternontario.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Northern Ontario<\/a> is home to countless incredible spots \u2013 national parks, beaches and more. In the area around <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saulttourism.com\/what-to-do\/outdoors\/beaches\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Sault Ste. Marie<\/a>, you can explore beautiful beaches including the very secluded Katherine\u2019s Cove. The Niagara Peninsula is a beautiful place where you can enjoy a stay along with a hike and swim at beautiful <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npca.ca\/conservation-areas\/long-beach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Long Beach Conservation Area<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Splash Pads \u2013 water for the younger crowd:<\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Screen-shot-2014-08-13-at-9.55.33-AM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-708\" src=\"\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Screen-shot-2014-08-13-at-9.55.33-AM-300x218.png\" alt=\"Screen shot 2014-08-13 at 9.55.33 AM\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Screen-shot-2014-08-13-at-9.55.33-AM-300x218.png 300w, https:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Screen-shot-2014-08-13-at-9.55.33-AM.png 532w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div>For smaller kids, a waterpark can sometimes be too big (and too scary!).\u00a0 It\u2019s good to have a selection of splashpads in your back pocket as a great destination to cool off on a hot day with young kids.\u00a0 In Southwestern Ontario, there\u2019s the enchanting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.storybook.london.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Storybook Gardens<\/a> which has so much more than splashpads.\u00a0 A trip to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centreisland.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Centre Island<\/a> in the GTA is a wonderful day out for young kids &#8211;\u00a0 in addition to the fun ferry ride there, you can enjoy a splash pad, rides, &amp; games.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cedarparkresort.ca\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Cedar Park Resort<\/a>,<br \/>\nalso in the GTA, has wonderful splashpads in addition to their big waterslides.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saundersfarm.com\/summer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Saunders Farm<\/a> in Ottawa has many fun activities for an action-packed day including a Water Spray Zone to stay nice &amp; cool.\u00a0 In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northernontario.travel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Northern Ontario<\/a>, Thunder Bay has fantastic &amp; free splashpads.\u00a0 And at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.logosland.com\/Waterpark.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Roaring Rivers Waterpark<\/a> in Eastern Ontario, you\u2019ll find a splashpad, &amp; sandy beaches. If your preference is for excitement, then take the family or a friend and enjoy the thrill of some incredible waterparks.
