check out the awareness programs.\u00a0 At <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ontarioparks.com\/park\/bonecho\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Bon Echo Provincial Park<\/a>, you can enjoy all different types of camping (RV, car, interior &amp; lots of different camping options. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ontarioparks.com\/park\/killbear\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Killbear Provincial Park<\/a> has lots of sandy beaches, hiking &amp; biking trails &amp; 7 campgrounds, most of which are very close to the shoreline.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.algonquinhighlands.ca\/?cat=trails&amp;page=water&amp;subPage=fees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">The Haliburton Highlands Water Trails<\/a> also offer opportunities for camping, fishing, hiking &amp; majestic national parks \u2013 perfect for camping &amp; canoe trips.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ontarioparks.com\/park\/frenchriver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">French River Provincial Park<\/a> is well suited to a more experienced camper as it only has backcountry camping available. A paddle on the French River is a unique experience as it takes you on the route of the First Nations, French explorers &amp; fur traders.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ontarioparks.com\/park\/killarney\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Killarney Provincial Park<\/a> is so magnificent that it inspired many famous Canadian artists including: The Group of Seven\u2019s A.Y. Jackson, Franklin Carmichael &amp; A.J. Casson<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Screen-shot-2015-04-13-at-2.10.04-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-795\" src=\"\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Screen-shot-2015-04-13-at-2.10.04-PM-300x182.png\" alt=\"Screen shot 2015-04-13 at 2.10.04 PM\" width=\"300\" height=\"182\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Screen-shot-2015-04-13-at-2.10.04-PM-300x182.png 300w, https:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Screen-shot-2015-04-13-at-2.10.04-PM.png 541w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Ottawa Region:<\/p>\n<p>In beautiful <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncc-ccn.gc.ca\/places-to-visit\/gatineau-park\/things-to-do\/camping-cabins-gatineau-park-summer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Gatineau Park<\/a> in the Ottawa region, there are 3 different campgrounds to stay at on 3 separate lakes.\u00a0 You can choose from traditional camping or book a \u201cready to camp unit\u201d\u00a0 (a cabin, yurt or 4 season tent). <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ontarioparks.com\/park\/rideauriver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Rideau River Provincial Park<\/a>\u00a0 is a unique spot to camp as it\u2019s located on the historic Rideau Waterway, a UNESCO world heritage site. This park\u00a0has sandy beaches, bird watching &amp; almost exclusively private &amp; secluded campsites. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carefreervresorts.com\/rv-parks\/ontario\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Sherkston Shores<\/a> has 15 Ontario sites for fun RV camping (7 in this region), many near lakes &amp; attractions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thoughts of camping are keeping me warm!\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to pack up my sleeping bag, graham crackers, &amp; marshmallows and get outside into the beauty of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summerfunguide.ca\/parks-trails-beaches-gardens.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ontario wilderness<\/a> this summer <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For all of you die-hard campers, now is the time to start thinking about spring and summer camping.
