Cambridge Celebrates Canada Day - July 2019

Celebrate Canada's Birthday with us! We start the day bright and early at 8:00am with our popular Catch and Release Fishing Derby along the Speed River in Riverside Park.

The day continues with the longest parade in the area with over 100 bands, clubs, floats, Shriners, military groups and the Portraits of Honour and, new this year, a flyover provided by the Great War Flying Museum - keep your eyes on the skies for those Harvards. The parade starts at the corner of Bishop and King at 1:00 and works it's way down King St. With construction along King at Eagle, we are suggesting that the best sign lines are between Bishop and Waterloo. New entertainers and activities have been added to the Children's Area including Team T&J, Isabella Hoops, Idea Exchange and Clever Archers as well as the return of favorites like Ultimutts.

The Children's area runs from 1:00 to 7:00pm. Added to this we have a midway, beer tent, as well as food and non-food vendors. The bands, all local, begin playing on stage at 3:00pm. The grand finale are the much anticipated fireworks accompanied by iconic Canadian music. They will begin at dusk and are kicked off by the singing of Oh Canada.

The rain date for the fireworks, if necessary, will be Sunday, July 2.
