Kincardine Scottish Festival & Highland Games - July 6-8, 2018

The Kincardine Scottish Festival & Highland Games is a longstanding tradition in lakeside Kincardine, proudly celebrating its 18th year in 2017.

From July 7 to 9, Scottish heritage and culture will take over historic Victoria Park and Kincardine’s scenic downtown core with pipe bands, heavy events, Highland dancing and internationally-known musical acts. There’s something for the whole family to enjoy!

This year the Scottish Festival is proud to welcome Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy on Friday, July 7 and The Trews on Saturday, July 8, in addition to a number of other entertaining musical acts throughout the weekend. Albannach returns to Victoria Park all the way from Scotland while Bessie and the Zinc Buckets will have you singing along to hillbilly covers of your favourite tunes. Always a crowd favourite, The Mudmen are back to get you out of your seat and dancing.

The sounds of Scotland will echo across town with over 30 pipe bands competing on Saturday, July 8, as Highland dancers and heavy competitors compete in venues across Kincardine. Regalia and food vendors hail from across the province with Celtic-themed wares such as pottery, jewelry and clothing.

The festival continues with the Bairn’s (children’s) program with games, activities, and of course, a full day of live music for the whole family to dance to on Sunday, July 9.
