Museum of Dufferin
Visit the Collection of 10,000 artifacts including over 200 historic quilts, the worlds largest (W. J. Hughes) Corn Flower Glass collection plus paintings, textiles, toys, sports equipment & other items relating to Dufferin County, & the people who were born, lived in or contributed to the region.
The MoD Archives have loads of records plus 1000 family history files & documents, 7000 photographs and thousands of archival documents, newspapers, maps, church records, and diaries which is a great start for history buffs and researchers. Continue your search on our online portal “Dufferin Geneology”, a gateway to over 20,000 archival resources.
Take a guided tour and hear stories of creativity, arson, perseverance & community spirit or take a self directed walking tour and take in the beauty of the museum’s grounds. On this tour, you can explore Dufferin County’s heritage, as told through the stories of the thingamajigs and whatchamacallits located on the property.
