Muskoka Steamships & Discovery Centre

The sound of a steamship whistle is as iconic as the call of a loon in Muskoka. You can listen to an historic steamship whistle two ways - aboard our fleet of steamships or in our Discovery Centre.

The Steamship Ticket office and the Discovery Centre are located on Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst. Admission to the Discovery Centre includes the Watershed Galleryour first new permanent exhibit since 2006. It opens in July 2018. Spend all day at the Wharf, immersing yourself in Muskoka's steamboat and resort heritage.

Another Muskoka tradition are Antique and classic wooden boats. Our collection is in-water in the Grace and Speed boathouse attached to the Discovery Centre. Admission to the boathouse is included in admission to the Discovery Centre.

Families are welcome in the Kidzone at the Discovery Centre and onboard our special family-friendly cruises. Youngsters are encouraged to dress as pirates.

When you book a 2 hour, 2.5 hour or 3.5 hour cruise, you can reserve an optional meal. You will pay for the food on board.

You can book steamship tickets online or by phone beginning May 1, 2018. Groups of 20 or more or charters can be booked immediately.

Admission to the Discovery Centre includes admission to the Watershed Gallery.
