By watching Clelia make these puppets, you will learn how you can use common house hold material and with your imagination turn it into a character of your very own. During the demonstration, Clelia will take you through the steps of designing and creating a hand puppet. Create a woodland creature to take home and animate. Puppet kits will be for sale to the public for $14. Clelia Scala is a mask and puppet designer, collage artist, and illustrator. She makes masks and puppets for theatre and has taught people of all ages mask-making and puppet-making in classroom and workshop settings. Clelia has taken courses and workshops in painting, printmaking, shadow puppetry, and sculpture. She studied puppet construction and performance at the Humber Puppetry Intensive and at the New England Puppet Intensive. Admission is free!
