Saturday, May 15, 10 to 11 a.m.Based on a true events, Rina tells the story of Sundar Paliwal, who is from a small village in India. Sundar aspires to live in a place where girls are valued as much as boys, and he wants to transform the barren landscape into a fertile and prosperous land. His vision? To celebrate the birth of every girl by planting 111 trees. Written in collaboration with Sundar, Rina’s book celebrates environmental sustainability, community activism, and eco-feminism. This uplifting story shows how even just one person can make a difference in a community. Families will also learn more about Rina’s experiences writing the story and have a chance to ask Rina questions. ADMISSION IS FREE, PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIREDFamily-friendly.
