What are YOU going to do this weekend?           February 12, 2013
Activities to get out and enjoy with your loved ones

We love to celebrate and just hang out with our family. Family Day is coming up on February 18th, & March Break in mid March, and we’ve chosen some fantastic places to spend some quality time with your special people. If, after all that togetherness, you’re ready for a little one on one time with your honey, check out our special Valentine’s Day events. Let’s just call it a month of love!

Fantasy Fair, Ontario’s largest indoor amusement park, is a great venue to visit with your kids. With 9 full size family rides, a  3-level play village, midway games and an arcade, there is bound to be something all members of your family will enjoy. On Family Day, special events include Mr. Balloonatic, The Trevor Show-a live interactive dance show and Whimz, a live animal show. Open 10-6 on Family Day.

What could be more romantic than wine and chocolate? Every weekend during the month of February, wineries throughout the Niagara region will be celebrating the delicious pairing of wine and chocolate.  For a special Valentine’s Day celebration, check out The Trius Winery at Hillebrand where guests can enjoy a delicious 5 course dinner culminating in a romantic chocolate fondue for two.

If you’re looking for an activity that the whole family can enjoy, the Funatorium Explorium in Ottawa is the place to be.  On Family Day Weekend, special events and activities will allow parents and kids to play and enjoy physical challenges together, explore their creative side or sit back and enjoy a magic show. You can also check out the Marketplace where you can taste, try and buy family friendly products.

If you’re looking for a unique romantic excursion, why not try dog-sledding? Named as a “Signature Canadian Experience,” the Winterdance Dogsledding Tour Company aims to introduce the thrill and the beauty of dogsledding to Ontarians. Enjoy the magical silence of a dog sledding trip with your loved one in the magestic beauty of the Haliburton Highlands.

February is the month of love and it runs right into March.  Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with your honey or Family Day/March Break with the kids, there’s so much to do in Ontario with your special someones.
