What are YOU going to do this weekend?            July 5, 2012
Hot Spots to Cool Down

As summer heats up, everyone’s looking for a way to cool down. Luckily, Ontario has all kinds of spots to hit. Whether you’re looking for something nearby or want to make it a day trip, you’re bound to find a place to dive in and cool off.

Grab your towel and sunscreen and head to Wasaga Beach! As the longest freshwater beach in the world, Wasaga has plenty of room on the sand and in the water. Don’t forget your running shoes either though – there are plenty of trails for hiking, biking and running too!

Whether you’re looking to jump in the water or relax on the shore, Bayfield Beach is the place to go. This hot spot was named one of the top five Great Lake beaches by Dr. Beach. With blue flag status you’ll be sure to have a fun, sunny and safe time on this beach!

You don’t have to go far to find a way to cool off. Those of you in the GTA can head to one of the 230 public pools. With one right in your neighborhood, you can go for a quick dip or spend the day. Get your vitamin D with free admission to the outdoor pools.

Speed up while you cool down. Get that adrenaline pumping on the water slides and rides. Try some beach volleyball and then cool off in Canada’s largest wave pool. Bring your lunch and make a day of it. For a fun time at every age, head over to Calypso!

Cooling down this summer can be a breeze. No matter what you’re looking to do, Ontario has it all to help you cool off. Whether you want to relax or stay active, spend all day or just a few hours, we can help you find a beach or waterpark near you!
