4 Ideas for Outdoor Summer Fun!

Water and trees…we usually think of communing with nature when we think of them, but here we focus on the outdoor adventure and fun that they provide. Waterparks, Ziplines, Ropes Courses, & Aerial Parks all offer hours of entertainment on a nice summer day. Check for lots more options in the amusements and outdoor adventures categories on our site.

Water Fun

article1_june152017.jpgWhen the weather is nice, and you don’t have access to a pool, head to one of Ontario’s awesome outdoor waterparks to cool off. At Wild Waterworks, experience Canada’s largest outdoor wave-action pool, 5.5-storey tube slides & an Eazy River. Bingemans Big Splash & FunworX Indoor Playland has slides, a wavepool and a spray n’ play-ground for the younger set.  Wet N Wild opens this summer with $25 million invested in this 45 acre water park with a tropical theme.

Mix it up

article2_june152017.jpgSome places offer a wide range of outdoor activities – so you can spend the whole day going from one activity to the next . Wild Water & Wheels mixes Kamikaze water slides & other water fun with go- karts, batting cages and more!  East Park offers a 7 slide water park, but also go-karts, rock climbing & mini golf. And Santa's Village - Muskoka's Theme Park has a zipline & aerial park combined with go-karts, laser tag, mini golf & a climbing wall.

Suspension Bridges & Other Thrills

It is the longest footbridge in S. Ontario, at 420’ in length. From 82’ high, you can see miles of countryside. Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge is a 300’ long bridge, 30’ above the Ranney Gorge just south of the falls. The bridge sways slightly as you walk from end to end – YIKES! Or if you like to fall from heights, Blue Mountain Apex Bag Jump lets you freefall 21 ft onto the airbag waiting below.
