What are YOU going to do this weekend?           March 7, 2013
Major Attractions right here at home

Are you tired of winter and looking for some fun outings to chase away the winter blahs?  Well – you’re in luck, because this month, the Summer Fun Guide has gathered some of the best of Ontario’s major attractions and events to bring to you.  Who needs to be a snowbird when you live in Ontario?  There is so much to do right here at home!

Downsview Park is a unique space right in the GTA.  It is an urban park with so much to offer – between the greenspace, the state of the art sports facilities, special event venues and amazing educational programs, there’s something here for everyone. This month, special activities include the Reptile Expo, Free indoor/outdoor Nature program for families, etc. Bring your camera!

Snowshoe Across the Longest Suspension Bridge in Ontario - Do You Dare? You might be able to see the valley floor beneath, with its gorgeous 10,000-square-kms view, but it feels like it is very far away. Don't be scared - there is a sturdy wire fence lining the walkway, protecting even the smallest adventurer and allowing everyone a perfect view.

See, hear and feel the wrath of Mother Nature in a multisensory extravaganza. Learn how Niagara Falls is created & experience the excitement in a specially designed 360 degree 4D theatre. Temperature drops; Snow falls; floor tilts and trembles. Great for all ages. Children 5 and under FREE!

Are you looking for a little Canadian content this March break?  A visit to Parliament Hill might be just the thing.  The Parliament of Canada is open to visitors 7 days a week, free of charge.  You can attend live debates, take a guided tour of Centre Block or visit Memorial Chamber and the Peace Tower.  Don’t forget to take part in some of the activities outside the Parliament buildings – like the concerts and guided tours, which take you in the Footsteps of Great Canadians.

March is the perfect time to appreciate all that Ontario has to offer – indoors!  We have so many amazing attractions, fantastic museums and incredible events happening right here at home. Enjoy March break in Ontario!
