  •  Add to Calendar 2017-06-30 2017-07-01 America/Toronto “Canada 150 – Come Celebrate with Brockton” “Canada 150 – Come Celebrate with Brockton” is a two-day sesquicentennial festival hosted by the Municipality of Brockton in partnership with Cargill & District Community Fund. It will be a celebration of everything that makes this country and province the best place to live. The event will kick off with a skit and dress up dance on Friday evening. Saturday’s program will consist of opening ceremonies (singing the Canadian anthem in both languages by a local children’s choir; welcoming remarks from dignitaries; and a Canada cake); a variety of intergenerational family games and activities to suit every age and ability - scavenger hunt, inflatable bouncer and obstacle course, face painting, log sawing, bed races, volleyball, duck race, trivia game, horseshoes and road hockey. There will be entertainment and interactive historical displays recognizing people of all nationalities. Evening programming is a historical skit, campfire with s’mores, music, and the final finale - spectacular firework display.
