Mississauga ITALFEST is Mississauga’s first & premier Italian festival. Named one of the Top 100 Festivals & Events in Ontario, ITALFEST takes place annually in August & is a free event celebrating all that is Italian. Featuring delicious food & crafts from 50+ vendors & artisans, cultural & family-oriented activities, entertainment from local & international talent, a thriving “mercato” & much more.

The 2019 edition of Mississauga ITALFEST™ - Ferragosto in the City – will take over Mississauga’s Celebration Square from Friday August 16th to Saturday August 17th to present a taste of Italian arts and heritage.

On Friday, August 16th, from 5:00pm to 11:00pm, Celebration Square transforms into an outdoor dance party under the evening stars and Mississauga moon. Featuring a live remote with Z1035’s Tony Monaco and DJ Danny D spinning the latest dance and Top 40 hits.

On Saturday, August 17th from 12:00pm to 11:00pm, festival favourites & new attractions hit the main stage including the presentation of the Johnny Lombardi Family Heritage Award & Louis Jannetta Youth Heritage Award & a headline performance by the legendary Dik Dik direct from Italy.

Visitors will enjoy Bocce, Scopa & Briscola tournaments; watermelon & pasta-eating contests; exploring Italian history & artifacts in our Heritage Centre; art & recipe exhibits; games, displays, children's activities & more!
