  •  Add to Calendar 2018-06-01 2018-06-02 America/Toronto Breakin' Convention Breakin' Convention is an fantastic weekend of incredible performances from world champion breakdancing crews to cutting edge street dance companies – all live on stage!  In addition watch the entire Sony Centre transform with graffiti art, DJs spinning, freestyle sessions, and Master Class workshops with visiting International dancers -  Breakin' Convention an unforgettable experience for the entire family!Presented by Civic Theatres Toronto, Breakin’ Convention is a Sadler’s Wells Project and is curated and hosted by U.K. hip hop pioneer Jonzi D.  Joining Jonzi D is Judi Lopez, Founder and Collective Director of Toronto-based KeepRockinYou.There are two nights of main stage performances on the Sony Centre stage featuring world renowned Hip Hop artists performing alongside the very best in Canadian Hip Hop: Local performers this year are: Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Performance Company (Brampton); Rebels de la Soul (Toronto); and SaMel Tanz (Toronto).  From across Canada: Now or Never Crew (Vancouver); Ör Pür Dance Company (Montreal); and VicVersa Productions (Montreal).  The previously announced international acts performing at Breakin’ Convention are: Compagnie Antoinette Gomis (France); Compagnie Phorm (France/Argentina); Far From The Norm (UK); Femme Fatale (United States) and The Ruggeds (Netherlands).*Performers subject to change.
