Carassauga Festival is an incorporated non-profit organization celebrating 34 years. The Festival is an annual 3 day city wide family orientated event celebrating cultural diversity. Cultural community groups, from different countries of origin, are given an opportunity to promote public awareness, appreciation and respect among all Canadians of different heritage. Each culture represents a Pavilion within the Festival, and are located in various cultural and community centers within Mississauga, giving visitors an opportunity to 'travel the world' without leaving the city. Festival visitors can "ride for free" on MiWay buses that connect them directly to all Pavilion locations. Once inside the Pavilion, visitors are surrounded by the sights, sounds and tastes of the country being represented. Each Pavilion depicts their culture through food, entertainment, art, historical displays and vendors. The festival is suitable for all ages, and children 12 and under are FREE.
