  •  Add to Calendar 2019-10-02 2019-10-06 America/Toronto Fall for Dance North Festival Fall for Dance North (FFDN) is thrilled to announce its momentous fifth anniversary edition, October 2–6, 2019 at MERIDIAN HALL (formerly the Sony Centre) and Ryerson Theatre in partnership with the Ryerson School of Performance. The 2019 festival will showcase a phenomenal range of expression including a special focus on international Indigenous artists at Ryerson Theatre, three FFDN commissions, five North American premieres, lots of live music, in addition to FREE programming at Union Station. Audiences will experience the powerful style of Brazil’s Grupo Corpo, the remarkably gifted Indian classical solo artist Shantala Shivalingappa, the contemporary New Zealand Dance Company, the exquisite artists from The National Ballet of Canada, and much more. Toronto’s own emerging choreographic talents Caroline ‘Lady C’ Fraser and Cody Berry will unveil world premieres, alongside the premiere of FFDN artist-in-residence Anne Plamondon’s FIDDLE EMBRACE.
