  •  Add to Calendar 2024-04-13 2024-04-13 America/Toronto Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny A 10 km river race along the Ganaraska River to commemorate the 1980 flood that crippled Port Hope's downtown area. Every imaginable floating device is used, from kayaks and canoes, to "crazy crafts!" Centered around the finish area at Barrett Street Bridge and Cavan Street, the "event village" offers entertainment and activities, as well as the chance to watch the participants float over the last rapids section of the course. Live commentary will be provided as well as additional entertainment on the water. Spectators and visitors will be able to enjoy food and drinks from one of the many vendors along the banks, or take a short walk to shopping, restaurants or bars.
