IMPACT 25 presented by MT Space brings powerful theatre and dance from many nations (Colombia, Lebanon, Palestine, across Turtle Island) to Kitchener. This IMPACT 25, we follow the theme of "survivance" in a global context as artists from around the world and across Turtle Island bring their lived experiences to the stage and directly into the audience's hands... From the destruction and rebirth of nations depicted through dance, to the resilience of women told through intimate theatre, to interactive play with audiences as they reenact the journeys of those trying to flee hardship, IMPACT 25 unpacks what it means to survive, to resist, and to seek refuge. IMPACT (International Multicultural Platform for Alternative Contemporary Theatre), is a biennial celebration organized by MT Space in Ontario’s Waterloo Region. IMPACT is focused on Indigenous and culturally diverse work from Turtle Island and around the world, with special emphasis on interdisciplinary, intercultural, and physical productions. IMPACT presents some of the finest local, national, and international work. It provides a unique platform to engage, play, and rejuvenate with hundreds of artists and thousands of visitors from across Canada and beyond.
