We are home to a dark sky preserve which boasts some of the darkest skies in Ontario, with the ability to see 7.5+ magnitude stars on the best nights, horizon to horizon viewing and a Sky Quality Meter reading (Unihedron Inc.) of 21.96 magnitudes /sq.arcsec. We believe in bringing together first-time viewers, amateurs, and veteran astronomers to explore and appreciate what the night sky has to offer. This is why we also host Astronomy Nights during our star parties that are open to the public. Stay with us to celebrate Canadian dark skies at our Dark Sky Preserve. Come observe and start crossing those Messier objects off your list. Activities & workshops include a welcome wine & cheese reception, guided public astronomy & laser guided sky tour sessions, nature interpretive centre, Horseshoe Tournament, children’s playground, wind up campfire & Saturday night pot luck Supper. Registration Fee is $45.00 & tax per person, per day, $95.00 & tax per family per day (2 adults, children under 16) and includes Camping in the RASC designated Dark Sky Preserve, Wine & Cheese Welcome, Public Astronomy Sessions, Laser Guided Sky Tour, Pot Luck Supper, Group Photo, Nature Interpretive Center, Hiking Trails, Mini Putt, Badminton, Horseshoes, Bocce Ball & Wind Up Campfire.
