We invite you to join the celebration as our Artists’ Network members show us who they are, inside and out. For many artists, a self-portrait runs deeper than external features. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons Van Gogh painted over 40 self-portraits, Frida Kahlo created more than 50, Emily Carr produced about 6, while Gustav Klimt painted only one in his entire lifetime. The self-portrait lets artists reveal themselves authentically to the world, and provide deeper insights into their art. Gallery hours: Wednesday to Sunday 12-5 PM. Opening reception will take place on Thursday, Aug 20 6:00-8:00 PM. There will be a short juror's talk and awards will be announced during the opening.
