  •  Add to Calendar 2024-06-24 2024-06-24 America/Toronto Trillium Health Partners 29th Annual Golf Classic Trillium Health Partners’ 29th annual Golf Classic will swing back into action “fore” a great cause on Monday, June 24th, 2024 at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario. Trillium Health Partners’ Golf Classic is a fan-favourite every year, and this year, it will continue its tradition of raising funds to help Trillium Health Partners build the largest hospital in Canada, the future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital. The community is invited to register for 2024 Golf Classic at https://trilliumgolfclassic.ca. Participants who register will be provided with 18 holes of golf to enjoy on a legendary course, lunch, entertaining on-course activities, prizes, golfer gifts and a cocktail reception to conclude the day. To date, Trillium Health Partners’ Golf Classic has raised more than $3 million for the highest-priority needs of the hospital. The event presents a unique chance to play at one of Canada’s most esteemed golf courses, designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus and home to the Canadian National Open, Golf Canada and the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame. Trillium Health Partners already cares for the largest population in Ontario and will face more growth in demand by 2041 than any other hospital in Ontario, with the West GTA projected to grow from 2.2 million to 3.3 million residents. The future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital will be a modern new and expanded replacement for the existing Mississauga Hospital and will be nearly triple the size of the current site, with more than 950 beds, two-thirds more surgical capacity, and one of the largest emergency departments in Canada. For patients and their families, the new hospital will provide shorter wait times and greater specialization closer to home with more doctors, nurses and support staff. It will also give Trillium Health Partners’ leading-edge programs – such as cardiac health, stroke, neurosurgery, cancer care and more – the space and equipment they need to continue to provide leading-edge care.
