Participants in all senior piano and violin classes will be competing at Steinway Piano Gallery. Up to $10,000 commendation prizes will be awarded to the festival winners. The 2024 competition is scheduled on April 13-14, 20-21 and 27-28, and application deadline is February 22, 2024.Over 500 families living in Toronto, Markham, Richmond Hill, Peel, and Durham Region attend the Yip’s Music Festival. The festival aims to promote the spirit of music and nurture a new generation of brilliant Canadian musicians through participation in the competition. Some of the past winners have embarked on successful musical careers and regularly collaborate with world-renowned orchestras. The YMF Jury Panel invites exceptional winners to participate in the Ontario Provincial Finals. Two adjudicators will be present for every competitive class, starting at RCM Level 8.
