The Battle of the Thames Committee presents the “Battle of the Thames Re-Enactment.” 200 years to the day after the Battle of the Thames outside of modern day Thamesville, where Shawnee leader Tecumseh was killed, 800 military and militia men will gather along with a cavalry, and First Nations warriors to re-enact the battle. Enjoy modern and historical food and goods vendors, engage in an old time school house and have fun while remembering the most significant 1812 battle in Chatham-Kent.
