The Ottawa region is an incredible area to explore – there’s so much to do! For a taste of high culture, there are wonderful museums & galleries and for outdoor adventures, there are more than enough to choose from.  There is fabulous food to enjoy and of course, iconic Canadian experiences not to be missed!
Food & Farms

If you’re looking for great food in Ottawa, you don’t need to look very far.  The Ottawa Farmer’s Market is one of the largest in Ontario.  The Carp Farmers’ Market is the largest producer based farmer’s market in the region and of course, everyone knows about the delicacies to be found at the Byward Market.

 Outdoor Adventures
The Ottawa Region is home to some pretty incredible spots for outdoor adventure.  Eco-Odyssee is a 6km water maze that you can explore from the comforts of a paddle boat. RiverRun Rafting offers a variety of incredible rafting adventures on the Ottawa River for the adventurous types and also for those looking for a gentle family outing. Chutes Coulonge – Aerial Park & Via Ferrata is a not to be missed beautiful & exciting outdoor adventure!
Museums & Galleries

 A trip to Ottawa wouldn’t be complete without a trip to one of the many world renowned museums & galleries below are just a few. The Canadian War Museum explores the military history of Canada. Canada Science and Technology Museum is a must see for science lovers as it’s the largest museum of its kind in Canada. Just south of Parliament Hill is The Canadian Museum of Nature where you can journey through a fascinating exploration of our natural world. The Canada Aviation & Space Museum has a unique designation as it was just named by CNN as one of the top 10 aviation museums in the world!

Attractions & Excursions
A visit to Ottawa should definitely include a trip to Parliament Hill. Parliament of Canada Tours are available in English and French throughout the day. The ceremonial guard, with those amazing hats, are an iconic Canadian symbol – come to see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony on your next trip to Ottawa.  Finally, a tour down the Ottawa River is a relaxing and unique way to get an incredible view of the city.  Capital Cruises and the triple deck “Empress of Ottawa” has many different themed cruises aimed to entertain and educate on your trip to Ottawa.
