Horseshoe, created by Bill Lohuaru, opened in 1962 for skiing with 5 slopes, 2 T-bars, a rope tow and small base lodge. When celebrating our Silver Anniversary in 1987, the Inn at Horseshoe opened and welcomed the first overnight guests. We’ve grown a lot more since then! We are happy to remain a part of the vibrant and welcoming Horseshoe Valley community.

Feel the rush with 29 ski runs, 304 feet of vertical rise, 6 lifts, Ontario’s longest beginner’s carpet and terrain park. Horseshoe Valley Resort will deliver all the skiing and snowboarding excitement you can handle! We offer some of the best cross country skiing in Canada. If skiing isn’t your thing, strap on some snowshoes, jump on a fat bike, rip the SMART Adventures snowmobiling trails or create everlasting memories on Ontario’s longest snow tubing hill. There are many fun winter activities for everyone to enjoy!

In the warmer months, hit the lift operated downhill mountain biking trails and cross country mountain biking terrain, play a round of golf on our 18 hole Horseshoe Valley Club golf course, enjoy slopeside activities such as mini putt and gem mining, adventure the Treetop Trekking aerial courses, traverse the SMART Riding Adventures ATV trails and make a splash in Lake Horseshoe.
