Description

Cradled between the Ottawa River and Algonquin Park, the Ottawa Valley is famous for its stunning outdoors and cultural and heritage riches. Known as Ontario's Adventure Playground and Whitewater Capital of Canada, the area is surrounded by woodlands, over 900 pristine lakes, four major river systems and dozens of other clean, warm and safe flat and whitewater rivers.

Located only 3 hours northeast of Toronto and 45 minutes west of the Nation's Capital, the Ottawa Valley consists of a unique blend of towns, villages and municipalities. There is plenty of variety, from the urban centres to the rural areas, where beautiful artistry, seasonal agriculture and lush wilderness abound.
