Waupoos Estates Winery

In 1993, Prince Edward County's Wine Industry was launched when our small Waupoos vineyard was opened to prove that the "terroir" was ideal for growing well balanced quality wine grapes.

Our Grand Opening June 15th, 2001, was featured on CBC news coast to coast.

We have grown annually, with wines for all tastes, including crisp dry and semi dry whites and fuller bodied lightly oaked reds, leading to the famous Baco Noir.

We have added a Chocolatier/Gelato Store, featuring specially crafted chocolates made by Donini Chocolates and serving Gelato during the summer months.

The Gazebo Restaurant overlooking Prince Edward Bay has undergone spectacular renovations and is the perfect spot to enjoy the award winning wines by the glass, indulge in a light lunch or reserve for a fine dining experience. The venue can be intimate as you wish or a "Special Event" happening!

Come discover the County's First Winery and Gazebo Restaurant.

Tastings and tours available too.

Across the road is Clafeld Fruit Winery. Fruity and Flavoured wines, to impress every palate. From Chocolate to Peach Raspberry. Come give it a try. New this summer, we are producing our own hard cider....mmmmmm cider!!!!

Also new is Accommodations in the Century Farm House. Built in the early 1900's, this Farm House has 4 Rooms upstairs over looking the vineyard and Lake Ontario.
