Are you looking for a fun getaway for your family but don’t want to go too far?  We’ve come up with a list of fantastic getaways in Ontario with a wide range of activities to suit all the interests of your family. This is a great place to start!

Camping & RVing:  Camping is a wonderful way to get away from it all & connect with family. All-Inclusive Family Resorts: A wonderful & easy way to vacation with young children is to stay at an all-inclusive resort. Shamrock Lodge  on beautiful Lake Rosseau has kids’ programming, water & boating activities, tennis, nightly entertainment & more. Fern Resort  has activities for kids of all ages – from supervised kids’ activities, to tennis, swimming & golf. Bayview Wildwood Resort  is also a great option with its entertainment, sandy beach and water sports.

Condo-Style Resorts With Activities: Ontario has several condo-style resorts that offer activities & the convenience of your own kitchen. Try Cranberry Golf Resort  for tennis, basketball, boating, swimming & a kids’ camp. Deerhurst Resort has a Splash Zone, golf, spa, Treetop Trekking, horseback riding, hiking, boating & a beach. Horseshoe Resort  & Carriage Ridge Resort at Horseshoe Valley  have tons of activities.  And finally, there’s Blue Mountain Resort, where the whole family can enjoy adventurous summer activities on the mountain.

Inn-Style Family Resorts: Nottawasaga Inn Resort has golf for the adults, and the kids will love the 100 ft waterslide & the mini golf. Severn Lodge  has plenty of supervised kids’ activities, so grown-ups can have some alone time, but there are also opportunities to spend meaningful family time together.  Irwin Inn on Stoney Lake  also has supervised kids’ activities & lots of fun for the whole family, including fishing, waterskiing, wakeboarding & tubing.
